As the UK commits to NET Zero emissions, central and local governments are actively encouraging households to become more energy efficient through a range of grants and funding.
Launched in July 2022 the Eco4 Grant Scheme is a 4 year £4bn Government initiative to support households in upgrading many energy efficiency measures in their homes. An estimated 130,000 households will be able to claim up to an average of £30,000 to install a range of efficiency measures.

- Income Related Employment & Support Allowance (ESA) Income based only
- Income based jobseekers’ allowance (JSA)Income based only
- Income Support (IS)
- Pension Credit Guarantee
- Working Tax Credit (WTC)
- Child Tax Credits (CTC)
- Universal Credit (UC)
- Housing Benefit (a new benefit making people eligible for ECO4)
- Pension Credit Savings (another new eligible benefit for ECO4)
If you claim one of these benefits, there aren't any income requirements. You don’t need to be currently claiming providing you have claimed in the 15 months prior to grant submission
